Joseph and Briana Branchflower met in the fall of 1996 in what proved to be a pivotal time in their lives. Within weeks they both were transformed by the power of God’s love. They immediately knew they were being commissioned by Christ to serve Him with all of their strength. They took a brief 18 month journey to Tampa Florida where they were a part of a ministry that was impacting the world with miracles and the power of the Holy Spirit. In September of 1999 Joseph had a heavenly vision concerning the northwest, in particular the Southeast part of Portland Oregon. In this vision he saw the incredible power of God’s love being demonstrated. People from every background were falling in love with Jesus and experiencing His salvation and healing. Joseph and Briana quickly packed their bags to return to their hometown. Upon their arrival in November of 1999 they were ready to walk out the vision God had placed in their hearts. Early in 2000, they realized they had not been fully prepared to partner with God in this capacity yet, and they kept it in their heart for a time that God would indicate to them. Shortly after that time of consecration, a door opened up for them to serve at City Bible Church. They started a unique ministry to the poor and needy in the greater Portland area. Over the next 7 years they served with food boxes, counseling, discipleship and pastoral care to thousands of people in the city and did several projects with local schools. In 2006 they felt a deep stirring to seek the Lord. During times of prayer and waiting on God, it became abundantly clear that the time to step into that vision had come. CURRENT’s time had come. Joseph and Briana have been married for 10 years and have 3 young children, Joseph Jr., Jordan and Violet. They have a passion to pursue God and to love people.

Shawn & Dana Klinkner reside in Vancouver, Washington and have been married 12 years. They have a daughter, Dara, and are pregnant with their second child due early in 2008. Shawn and Dana met at George Fox University, where they completed their undergraduate studies and received their bachelor’s degrees. For the last ten years Shawn has ministered in Portland, Oregon, on staff at a Christian non-profit organization serving the needs of the poor. Dana is currently enjoying her position as a homemaker, although in the past she has held a variety of administrative roles as a church secretary and also executive secretary to the President of George Fox University. Shawn and Dana have a passion for the kingdom of God and to see people grow in intimate relationship with the Lord and walk in the power of God. They have ministered in the past, separately and together, at several retreats, and in different congregations in the Portland Metro area. They are excited to be serving at Current Church in Portland, Oregon.
