I have seen countless VALUES pages and would like to clarify before you read this.
Values are not things that you think you should live by; they are actually WHAT you live by. We also understand that you might not share all of these values, but maybe it is because you haven’t experienced the blessing of them. We have received these values by the lives we have lived before God. We are convinced that everyone who learns to integrate these values will grow into more of what God designed for them specifically, and it will bring a blessing on everyone around them. Don’t miss the concluding statement either!
Relationship with God: We value our personal relationship with Father God through Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate gift of love to us, and also our greatest treasure.
The Holy Spirit: We value the person and presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst, and we embrace the miraculous demonstration of the Holy Spirit in power as well as His comfort, help and the fruit (virtue, and moral character) that He enables us to live out.
We value the Bible as God’s word to us. His word gives us clear direction, through promises, patterns and principles. It is the clear revelation of the “new creature in Christ” and opens up access for us to be transformed into all we were meant to be.
We value the local church as the expression of the Kingdom of God on a local level. We believe there is strength, community and the release of destiny in the context of the local church.
We value the expression of thanks to God through praise, worship and prayer in the corporate gathering. We believe God releases a great blessing when people with faith gather for a purpose.
We value the body of Christ throughout the world, and all of the gifts God has given to us in the fivefold ministry according to Ephesians 5.
We value the individual believer as one who has incredible potential and importance in the Kingdom of God.
We value the integrity of family as strength to the church and society.
We value the journey of life, growing spiritually with active engagement and spiritual hunger.
We value authentic relationships and practicing transparency and love with our fellow man.
We value human beings. We think you are very important, created in the image of God
We value the place God has given us to live on and are determined to be good stewards of His creation.
In conclusion: There are so many more values we could have shared on this page, but we really wanted to share the core of how we operate spiritually. There is so much depth to God’s goodness toward us, it is truly inexhaustible. We enjoy being serious about our lives, with the ability to laugh at ourselves. We enjoy having fun and enjoy success, and also embrace the trials in our lives as well. We are content with what we have, but we aren’t settlers. We love to laugh, and occasionally cry. We embrace God’s love that can take us through every season of life and make us better in the process. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and we are determined to make the most out of life with faith in God. This is CURRENT.
A LITTLE DEEPER When you read the Bible you are getting more than you think. The first thing you find out is stunning; we are made in the image of God! Well that is beautiful because it shows us that God had great intentionality in creating us. He actually wanted us to share in His very nature! As much as I appreciated hearing that, something in me felt like I wasn’t quite connecting with what that meant, and I soon found out why. The same first man Adam, lost the image of God that He was created in along with his wife, and passed that marred image to every human being thereafter. When I continue throughout the Bible, I find that God was broken hearted over our rejection of His love and protection, and that really didn’t translate to a good relationship. Since then God has been pleading with us for our faith and desire of our hearts; and we continually go the other way out of our inability to connect with who God is because we no longer share the same nature. Ultimately we have Jesus bringing us back into that first relationship with God by His life being poured out as a sacrifice for us. You are seeing now the simple premise of the Bible. It is full of God’s wisdom for our lives. It is full of truths that have incredible power. It is full of God’s intentions for us. It is an instruction manual for life. After Jesus was resurrected, He actually transferred His nature back to us by faith in His work of substitution. We have a free gift that restores us into a relationship with God that Adam had. We then work out our lives in grace, working in the new nature into our souls, while enjoying the righteousness that cost us nothing.
How do I know this Jesus? When you put your faith in who He is and what He did for you something incredible happens. Your innermost being (spirit) becomes alive to God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT Jesus told us in the book of John (Jn 14) that He was leaving. But He also said that He wasn’t leaving us. He would pray to the Father and He would send us the comforter, the helper, the Spirit of truth. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us as His children. Receiving the Holy Spirit is vital to a relationship with God. Jesus said that He had many things He still wanted to say to us. Did you just get that? He wasn’t done talking! When you receive the Holy Spirit you are invited to a place of intimacy reserved for those who have been redeemed by the work of Christ! He is a person, and what He does in your life is nothing short of miraculous. We value the Holy Spirit as God’s agent on the earth today to give us access to the fullness of God.
FATHER GOD It is a mystery of the Kingdom, but we can relate to our God through these three distinct expressions of the Oneness of God. Father God is the term we give to God. Jesus demonstrated the way to us clearly. He showed us who Father God is, and demonstrated a life of interacting with the Father by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father”. Jesus was the image of God revealed to man. He prayed to the Father, and received His assignment for life and recognition for the Father. He was actually living for an audience of one. Jesus said that He only did what the Father put inside His heart. When we study the life of Jesus, we find out that our Father God is so kind, loving, and desires us to have an unshakable faith in His goodness and purposes for our lives.
THE KINGDOM The gospel of the Kingdom is what Jesus Christ came and declared to the world. Jesus showed us the Kingdom by teaching and demonstration. We are really still scratching the surface as to the power and authority in that Kingdom. It is actually here right now on planet earth. The Kingdom shows us how to live, how to lead, and gives us access to the same power and authority Christ walked in as a man. When He cast a demon out of a man, He was demonstrating the Kingdom. When he fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, the Kingdom was in demonstration. When He shredded the lofty proud mindsets of the Pharisees He was demonstrating the Kingdom. When He stopped a “busy schedule” to play with children, you get it now right? The best thing about this Kingdom is the King. He is the only one in human history that loves leads and teaches perfectly. He also has a Kingdom that knows no end, because He will never expire! We can give our lives to Him without restraint, because He knows us perfectly. The Kingdom in its simplest terms is Christ’s rule in our hearts. With this foundation we can build together, because we are all serving the same King.
FAITH Faith is the most incredible force God gave us in life. Faith gives us access to a world that can be accessed no other way. Faith opens the door for us to receive from God. If you don’t receive from God, you have nothing of eternal significance. Every value we have is accessed by this force. Faith is something God gave us, built into our innermost being. By faith we can enter into life as God purposed for us. Without faith, we cannot enjoy the life God meant for us to live.
